  • 2003 – The 19th Sundance Film Festival concluded, celebrating a pivotal year for independent documentary filmmaking.
  • 1951 – The film Pandora and the Flying Dutchman, starring Ava Gardner and James Mason, premiered in London, later becoming a cult classic for its technicolor cinematography.
