Your IP address will be publicly visible if you make any edits.
Why you are seeing this message: Your current IP address is blocked from editing Sanarchive because it appears to belong to a VPN or proxy service.

These types of services are commonly used for abusive editing and circumventing Sanarchive policies, so Sanarchive blocks them as a preventive measure — even if you personally haven't done anything wrong.

How to resolve this:

  • Turn off VPNs, proxies, or tools such as iCloud Private Relay (for Apple users) or Microsoft Edge Secure Network. This is the most frequent reason that users encounter this block.
  • Try a different network connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or use a home network instead of a public or work connection.
  • Whitelist Sanarchive. You may be able to whitelist Sanarchive from your VPN service so that connections to Sanarchive aren't tunneled through the VPN. Instructions for whitelisting Sanarchive on iCloud Private Relay can be found here.
  • Still blocked? If you believe that you are not running an anonymizing proxy or Tor, you should consider checking your network configuration to verify that this is actually the case. Network configurations can be changed without your knowledge, sometimes due to malware. In truly exceptional circumstances, you may request IP block exemption. Approval is limited and based on specific criteria, and you should only request it if you have no other way to edit Sanarchive.

Note: These blocks are applied because of the configuration of your network or internet connection. They are not applied as a result of your actions, nor are they applied in order to discourage you from editing Sanarchive. We always appreciate good-faith contributors to this project, and we want to help you with being able to edit Sanarchive again.
